When the "Require authentication" option is active, users must authenticate to each folder connected by other users to browse folders and preview and edit documents. This applies to the file manager and macros on pages.

The connected folders will show an "Authenticate" button for every folder that the user hasn't connected yet, and they won't be able to open the folder or make changes until they do.

  1. Click the "Authenticate" button.

  2. If you already have at least one account is connected from the same storage place, a modal opens where you can choose one or connect to a new place. If there isn't any suitable account connected, the sign-in screen for that account is shown opens directly.

  3. If A confirmation message appears if the account selected has access to the folder, a confirmation will be shown.

Tip

All done. You can now use the folder according to the permissions set for it. 

Note

If the account selected doesn't have access to the folder, an error will be shown appears with the option to connect to a different account.

De-authenticating a folder

After authenticating to a folder/file with an account, it's possible to remove removing the access is possible if needed (e.g., for authenticating with a different account). 

  1. Click the "···" button 

  2. Click the "Sign out" option

  3. A modal will appear. Click "Sign out" to confirm.
