The Team Files app needs access to an external URL to work correctly. If your server has restrictive configurations, you’ll need to add the following URL to the whitelist:

https://confluence.teamfiles.app

This is essential to enable the Microsoft 365 Web apps, allowing you to preview and edit documents in Confluence Data Center / Server with the Team Files app.

Add to your firewall’s allowlist

To add a the Team Files URL to the whitelistallowlist:

1. Open the “Administration” menu (cogwheel icon on the top right corner);

2. Select “General Configuration”;

3. Click “Whitelist” from the sidebar (in the Users & Security section);

4. Enter the URL your data center / server’s or network’s management setup;

5. Go to the firewall configuration;

6. Add https://confluence.teamfiles.app in the Expression field;

7. Choose “xxx” in the Type of expression dropdown;

8. Choose Allow Incoming (needed?).

9. Choose Add.
